Who should train in karate?   Karate training is for everyone. The goals in karate are not to become world
champions, although some might aspire to this. The real goal in karate training is personal development. This development will
occur at your own individual rate. There is no competition to be better than someone else or to learn things faster. You are
only expected to do your best and train as hard as you can.

Why train in karate?   There are many benefits to training in karate. Most people see karate as a fighting
sport where students can beat up on each other. This is far from the truth. Karate training is a difficult and arduous journey.
The training is worthwhile and you can learn many things.

Benefits of training:
· Fitness
· Self-defense
· Coordination and balance
· Self-confidence
· Promotes an "I CAN DO IT" attitude
